Not so
fast my friend.
The
United States of America invaded Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, and just
took them over.
The
government of the United States (Politicians), corrupted those islands, so we
on the ‘Main Land’ are responsible for rebuilding the inland, not only to what
this government forced the islanders into living with.
But
what it would have been like if the politicians all lived there!
If Puerto Rico was a state of the United States of
America from (July/ August 1898), the day it was brutally taken from the
natives, it would have fared a whole lot
better without our restrictions and laws, laws I might add, on only Puerto
Rico not on your state!
