Price founded the Crenshaw Christian Center in 1973 with 300 members, and now membership at the suburban Los Angeles church is reported to be more than 18,000. Price has led the church's growth through his radio and television broadcasts and through his books. OMAHA, Neb. —
PFC Stanley Stoltz died in his nursing home in November 2018. With no family to make funeral arrangements for him, a social worker reached out to a local funeral home in Omaha to give him a proper burial. Michael Hoy, the funeral home director, put an ad in the paper asking people to attend -- but the response was far more than he or anyone could have anticipated. Watch the video above to see how hundreds of strangers went out of their way to honor Stoltz.

Suicide, VA releases Request for Information

Concern that affects everyone VA releases Request for Information.
We should be caring a lot more for our military people starting in 
'Boot-camp and ending after death'!
No longer waiting for a veterans call for help!
We have billions of tax dollars to spend on useless border walls.
Millions of tax dollars to spend on a 'joke called a military parade'.
Billions of 'tax break for the 25% of our rich in this country.
Nothing or close too nothing to help our veterans.
And
This is just me before I tell you my feeling on this subject!

Suicide, a major public health concern that affects everyone
VA releases Request for Information, seeks strategies for ways to end Veteran suicide
Suicide, a major public health concern that affects everyone, takes the lives of an estimated 45,000 Americans–including 6,000 Veterans–each year. To combat Veteran suicide, trump recently signed an executive order (EO) titled “National Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End Suicide” (PREVENTS), directing the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the director of the White House Domestic Policy Council to co-chair and create an interagency task force to develop a plan implementing a road map for the prevention of Veteran suicide at the national and community level.
As a result, the task force is releasing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather feedback on how to improve research and the use of research to radically reduce Veteran suicide. Through this RFI, and to ensure the broadest stakeholder input in the development of the national research strategy, VA is seeking input on ways to increase knowledge about factors influencing suicidal behaviors and ways to prevent suicide; inform the development of a robust and forward-looking research agenda; coordinate relevant research efforts across the Nation; and measure progress on these efforts. The public input provided in response to this RFI will inform the Veteran wellness, empowerment and suicide prevention task force, who will develop and implement the national research strategy.
“Veteran suicide requires an all-hands on-deck approach to preserve the lives of our Veterans who have served our country,” said VA Secretary Robert Wilkie.
“This is a call to action. In order to decrease the rate of Veteran suicide, we need to engage our local and community partners in addition to leveraging the resources of the departments.”
To advance the president’s vision, the Office of Science and Technology, Executive Office of the President and VA will lead the development of the national research strategy to improve coordination, monitoring, benchmarking and execution of public- and private-sector research related to the factors that contribute to Veteran suicide.
All public comments regarding the RFI are welcome and should be submitted by August 5, 2019, to ensure they are considered in the national research strategy. Responses may be submitted online at https://www.research.va.gov/PREVENTS/.

The impeachment process plays out in Congress and requires critical votes in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. It is often said that the
“House impeaches and the Senate convicts,” or not. 
In essence, the House first decides if there are grounds to impeach the president, and if it does, the Senate holds a formal impeachment trial.
"The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments..."
Article I § 2 of the United States Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole power to impeach (make formal charges against) and Article I § 3 gives the Senate the sole power to try impeachments. Article II § 4 of the Constitution provides as follows:
In the House of Representatives
The House Judiciary Committee decides whether or not to proceed with impeachment. If they do...
The Chairman of the Judiciary Committee will propose a Resolution calling for the Judiciary Committee to begin a formal inquiry into the issue of impeachment.
Based on their inquiry, the Judiciary Committee will send another Resolution to the full House stating that impeachment is warranted and why (the Articles of Impeachment), or that impeachment is not called for.
The Full House (probably operating under special floor rules set by the House Rules Committee) will debate and vote on each Article of Impeachment.
Should any one of the Articles of Impeachment be approved by a simple majority vote, the President will be "impeached." However, being impeached is sort of like being indicted of a crime. There still has to be a trial, which is where the US Senate comes in.
In the Senate
The Articles of Impeachment are received from the House.
The Senate formulates rules and procedures for holding a trial.
A trial will be held. The President will be represented by his lawyers.
A select group of House members will serve as "prosecutors." The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court  will preside with all 100 Senators acting as the jury.
The Senate will meet in private session to debate a verdict.
The Senate, in open session, will vote on a verdict.
A 2/3 vote of the Senate will result in a conviction.
The Senate will vote to remove the President from office.
The Senate may also vote (by a simple majority) to prohibit the President from holding any public office in the future.

until women’s team earns equal pay 2026

Two Democratic congresswomen on Tuesday introduced a bill that would block federal funding for the 2026 men’s World Cup until the US Women’s National Team earns “fair and equitable wages compared to the US men’s team.”
The legislation, co-sponsored by Reps. Doris Matsui of California and Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut, comes amid the team’s longstanding battle for equal pay.
Months before the tournament, members of the Women’s National team filed a lawsuit against the US Soccer Federation, claiming they deserve to be paid what the American men are paid for their international performances. In one hypothetical case cited in the lawsuit, if the women’s and men’s teams both won 20 straight games in a season, the women would make 38% what the men do.

WASHINGTON - Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin, of West Virginia, introduced a bill Tuesday that would prohibit federal funds from being used for the 2026 World Cup unless the men's and women's national teams are paid equally.
Manchin's office issued a press release stating that the senator was inspired to create the bill after receiving a letter from Nikki Izzo-Brown, head coach for women's soccer at West Virginia University.
