How many still refuse to take the medicine?

700,000 deaths

How many citizens of the United States still refuse to take the medicine?

The main reason why trump republican politicians do not wish to work with the Democrats is plain to see for yourself in the following picture.

Democrat voters are the ones not getting the shot!

News about Flags Of The 700,000 Covid-19 Deaths

Photograph by Stephen Wilkes White flags on the National Mall mark each of the more than 675,000 lives lost to COVID-19—which is has now overtaken the death toll of the 1918 flu pandemic. In September 2021, volunteers planted hundreds of thousands of flags as part of a memorial art installation in Washington, D.C.

In more than a year and a half since the first case was detected in Seattle, America’s death toll has climbed steadily. And those deaths continue to climb steadily even as more than half of the country has already been immunized with highly effective vaccines. (COVID-19 surpasses 1918 flu as deadliest pandemic in U.S. history.)

Shame of those Christians not obeying their God by reading about their God the Son with the teacher of their spirit!

Christian leaders should always be men and women of “the Book”, ones who do not just read the Word but live it (James 1:22).

I hope –NO – I pray that I am wrong however; we must now think about the past 30 plus years of ‘Mitch McConnell’s Republicans’ stacking those years with republican lower court judges, the dirty dealing of all of President Barrack Obama’s pick while installing theirs!

Remember the four years before President Joe Biden of stacking the Supreme Court!?

Women's march targets Supreme Court, with abortion on line ...

Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113, was a landmark decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in which the Court ruled that the Constitution of the United States protects a pregnant woman's liberty to choose to have an abortion without excessive government restriction.

It struck down many U.S. federal and state abortion laws, and prompted an ongoing national debate in the United States about whether and to what extent abortion should be legal, who should decide the legality of abortion, what methods the Supreme Court should use in constitutional adjudication, and what the role of religious and moral views in the political sphere should be.

Roe v. Wade reshaped American politics, dividing much of the United States into abortion rights and anti-abortion movements, while activating grassroots movements on both sides

Enough of this lying just to save my congress job!

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Russia, China, Pakistan and the United States are working together to ensure that Afghanistan’s new Taliban rulers keep their promises, especially to form a genuinely representative government and prevent extremism from spreading, Russia’s foreign minister said Saturday.

Sergey Lavrov said the four countries are in ongoing contact. He said representatives from Russia, China and Pakistan recently traveled to Qatar and then to Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, to engage with both the Taliban and representatives of “secular authorities” — former president Hamid Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah, who headed the ousted government’s negotiating council with the Taliban.

Thank you President Joe Biden!

Is this country again asking for a king?

Is this country again asking for a king not a president?

According to 90 to 95% of this country (Christians, Muslims and the Jewish religions), we already have a king (GOD)?

The ‘First People’ of this land (North and South hemispheres), have our king (Creator)

Their God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son!

All Kings love themselves do much that each took and took and so much they destroyer the countries!

Each time the Christian’s invaded our land they had their king (God).

When the Jews came to this land they had their king (God).

When the Muslims came to this land they had their king (Allah).

So now this country of Christians, Jews and Muslims want yet another king (king trump and king DeSantis)?

Anyone care to take a look at all of the countries changing from their God to a king?

I have a great book of the history of just one of those countries!

A glimmer of hope for Democrats in the 2022 midterms

A glimmer of hope for Democrats in the 2022 midterms

Conventional wisdom since at least the end of the 2020 election was that Republicans were poised to win big in the decennial redrawing of congressional lines across the country.

While Democrats control all of the levers of power in political Washington, Republicans remain in charge in the lion's share of critical state legislatures and governor's offices.

Republicans have total line-drawing control (and map approval) in 187 congressional districts, while Democrats have that power in just 75. (The remaining 173 seats either have split party control or are drawn by bipartisan or nonpartisan commissions.)

The thinking was that Republicans could net the three seats they need to retake the majority in 2022 solely from beneficial line-drawing.

And yet, as the redistricting efforts have begun in earnest in most states, Democrats appear to be faring slightly better than most experts assumed, according to analysis from Cook Political Report redistricting expert David Wasserman.

"State-by-state estimates now show Rs netting just 1-2 House seats from redistricting alone, down from 3-4 a few months ago," tweeted Wasserman on Thursday. "The outlook for Dems has slightly improved in IN, NJ & NY."

In New York in particular, one of the few big states where Democrats control the entire process, Wasserman estimates that Republicans could lose four seats via redistricting alone.

To be clear: The Democratic House majority is still in considerable peril -- especially given long historical trends that suggest the president's party takes a battering in his first midterm election.

The Point: Redistricting efforts are ongoing nationwide. Maps can and will change. But the shift in redistricting outlook -- at least at the moment -- provides a glimmer of hope for Democrats heading into next year's elections.

Chris

Thanks Chris Cillizza however the ‘Democratic party leaders’ have always been too greedy to care about this so called hope, this is why we lose so many midterm elections!

(I believe we're at an inflection point in this)

I can do this – Say this – no better!

Thank you Chris and the Point

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"I believe we're at an inflection point in this country — one of those moments where the decisions we're about to make can change, literally change, the trajectory of our nation."

-- President Joe Biden on Thursday, as he pushed for his economic packages.

The Point:

Donald Trump's presidency

(and post-presidency)

was and is a cataclysm for democratic institutions.

If it helps people realize how fragile this democracy is and what they need to know and do to sustain it,

it will have done one good thing.

-- Chris

It's funny what four years of a president who carries a healthy disregard for the Constitution, and a violent insurrection at the US Capitol, can do for people's knowledge of our democratic institutions!

For the first time in 15 years, a majority (56%) of people could name all three branches of the federal government in a new survey

conducted by Annenberg Public Policy Center.

That number was under 30% in 2016

but has consistently risen every year since then -- suggesting strongly that Trump's assault on a variety of democratic institutions

has made the average American pay more attention to how the government works

 (and doesn't).

People were also more aware of the rights afforded to them by the Constitution than in the past.

Asked to name the five freedoms conferred by the First Amendment, 3 in 4 named the freedom of speech

while more than half (56%) were able to come up with freedom of religion,

and

50% exactly named freedom of the press.

(Fewer than 3 in 10 could name

the freedom to assemble or the freedom to petition.)

Now, before we break out the champagne,

it's not exactly a huge victory that just half of Americans

get that freedom of the press is right

there in the First Amendment of the Constitution.

And there's also this:

"Just over 1 in 3 people knows how long the term of office is for a senator

(35% correctly said six years)

and

a representative (36% correctly said two years)."

So, yeah.

Not exactly a clear win for American civics teachers out there.

But progress is progress.

And there seems little doubt that the real threats to democracy -- culminating in a riot at the US Capitol to protest the results of a fairly conducted presidential election -- have woken a decent-sized chunk of people up to the fact that knowledge is power in our country.

Which, well, about damn time.

The Point:

Donald Trump's presidency (and post-presidency)

was and is a cataclysm for democratic institutions.

If it helps people realize how fragile this democracy is and what they need to know and do to sustain it,

it will have done one good thing.
